Open afternoon 15 September with tours of St Alfege Church Crypt

A rare chance to visit the crypt of historic St Alfege Church as part of Heritage Open Days. Free tours lasting approximately 30 minutes will run from 1pm and will start at the crypt entrance on the south side of the church (nearest to the Mitre pub). Heart of Greenwich Place and People – update on what's happening and when. This will be an opportunity to find out about next steps and progress relating to our Heritage Lottery Fund supported project which includes restoration works, landscaping, and other access improvements. Thanks to National Lottery players, St Alfege Church has been awarded over £1.8m from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop our Heart of Greenwich Place and People project which aims to open up the church's hidden spaces and rich heritage for everyone. 

Beyond the Suffragettes 11 to 25 September 2018

We will be hosting the ‘Beyond the Suffragettes’ exhibition which has been put together by Greenwich100 to celebrate Greenwich’s contributions to gender equality from the 1860s to the present.
